This is a small tribute to writer Edward Abbey.
Bury me in the desert, oh lord
Disregard the state and its burial laws
Let the dust eat my flesh; buzzards eat my bones
        Sun have my soul
Everyone’s got to eat
Let my carcass feed the desert and its ancestors
Profundity, fecundity, sweet wine and suicide,
    Of thee we sing

For I have held life in my hands
And earthly beauty in my eyes
And now sweet eternal silence
    till the cows come home.
