I Love Another

I used to think maybe you loved me,
But now I know better,
I can see that you never loved me,
Not ever.

I thought we were doing better,
I thought the fight was over,
I thought we loved eachother again,
But I saw you that day.

You were with that girl named Tara,
You dated her long ago,
You said it was over with her,
And I believed you, but not anymore.

I said, "I can't believe this!"
I said, "This can't be true!"
You said, "Me and her did better,
Than I did with you."

I ran away to the big oak tree,
That's on my property,
I sat under the huge tree,
And cried myself asleep.

I dreamt you said, "I love you,"
And was about to hold me tight,
When that girl named Tara,
Came and pulled you out of sight.

I woke to a boy shaking me,
Saying, "Girl, are you okay?"
I said,"Yeah, boy, i'm fine...."
He said, "Howabout I take you to dinner,and maybe you can be mine."

I said, "Okay... I guess so..."
And after that night I know,
I have something to tell you,
I love another now.
