this is part 2 of "eyes of pearl crystalline"...it is the sad ending of a love story
Lycanthropy, Sequel to Eyes of Pearl Crystalline

Hear me, fools of Lords
Bastards of whores
Hear me recite in my glutoning
Glutoning on pain ever stupefying
For I shall not repeat
Nor claim this as feat

The eyes of pearl crystalline
The eyes of my queen
Why do they sleep on such a night?
Why do they not wake?
The time is drawing ever nigh
Yet you sleep and this won’t wait

The moon is full and bright
Why now? Why tonight?
In my lycanthropy I cannot halt
In my pain I cannot control
You taste the petals of a rose
In my folly I saw not the fault

Awake, said the morning
Its floods of tears ever inviting
It rips my heart from me
It rips my mind from me
I deserve it
I deserve it all
