A Pineapple Express

A young and demonstrably preened
pomposity of a pineapple
puddled his youth and vigour
into an outpouring of glorious
and sagacious sogginess
that salved the brittle desert
of the arid park ponds and wetted
the dusty laps of the ducklets and swanilys.
Never before had one so rotund
expounded such beautiful bursts
of sleek and slanting arrows
upon the curved downs of hill and fowl
and filled the basin bowls of the old green wold.
