My take on metaphysical poetry and recurring egoism. . .
“This isn’t the life I was meant to have
I wanted to make a difference,
Twist the norm, challenge the boring
And, oh! Face the storm
That’s forever brewing out there in the world”
The hen bowed her head, and began to make his bed
While the rooster sat on his tail, waiting for the dawn
Waiting, always waiting, while the hen was busy
Preparing his meals, fluffing his tail,
Getting his lemon juice ready
So he could do his job with pride
Not realizing he would never be able to do it
Without his beloved hen by his side
