Afterlife

When we die what will become of us?
Will we dine with Pluto
Or run through Elysia with Persephone?
Does Osiris judge your heart against the feather?
Are you condemned to hell by Allah
Or welcomed into heaven by the Son?
Are we reincarnated, sent back to Earth to learn things
So maybe we can reach Nirvana?
Does karma catch up with you and turn you into a lowly insect?
Do you go to Yomi or Tokoyo or the other world beyond the mountains?
Do you spend time in Heaven
Only to return to Earth and finish your mortal work?
Are there degrees of Heaven you may enter?
Can you inhabit your own planet?
Does your soul sleep until the Messiah returns
After which you are raised from the grave and live forever?
Do you go to spirit-heaven or spirit-hell until you receive a new body?
What happens when you die?
Maybe none of the above.
Maybe
You just
Cease
To
Exist…
