A poem I wrote about my experience with addiction.
It crawled its way in, when I was young.
It started off, just having some fun.
No one saw I was sinking fast
and to think that once, it was such a blast.
My feet were planted, my heart heavy with fear
couldnt even cry my own tears.
Emotions were covered in crimson red,
would this be the one, to leave me dead?
I became a prisioner inside my own skin,
the world outside started looking so dim.
The world became the darkest of night,
without a hope, of that dawning light.

Listen to the message of hope,
you can survive, and learn to cope.
No need to ever turn back,
give up all hope to change the past.
Feel the pain, feel the joy,
you can feel emotions, that were once destroyed.

Crying inside, to run and hide,
dont let them see the child inside.
