To the One I Love

Just the warm touch of your fingertips, sends shivers down my spine,

I watch you speak, and wish your lips, were gently kissing mine.

Your eyes, though they frighten me, are always kind and calm.

I wish you'd hug me close to you, and hold me in your arms.

Your ears are always open, and never judge my ways,

Your lips are always kind, and never have anything cruel to say.

Every time you hug me, though I know I'm just a friend,

I smell your sweet, but light cologne, and wish the world would end.

If I died within your arms, I'd die a happy girl,

That's all I want, that's all I need, I couldn't ask more of the world.
