Carpé Díem

Today I sailed the Seven Seas;
Discovered a distant land.
Then I walked across the shore;
Ran bare-foot through the sand.

I competed in the Olympic Games;
Won gold for figure skating;
When I dazzled the judges,
The medal was mine for the taking.

I finally married the love of my life.
We had two kids between us;
Took care of them and raised them right.
Then they took care of us.

These things I achieved all in one day,
Impossible though it seems.
But was able to seize all I wanted,
Because this was the day of my dreams.
