Vampire Princess

I am a Vampire Princess who lives on the hill.
I live in a castle with my beautiful black cat.
Contrary to popular belief, I don't drink blood until I get my fill
but sometimes, I turn into a bat.

My best friend, Drucilla who lives in a house nearby is a witch.
She, too has a black cat who shares her house.
She spends the day finding herb plants in a ditch.
While, Spook, her black cat plays with a mouse.

I watch over my castle as knights protect my estate.
I sleep all day with my black cat, Midnight by side.
One of my knights was a victim when he tried to do me harm and
I sealed his fate.
My other knights love me and abide.

Drucilla comes to my castle for tea.
I baked a special vampire and witch cake.
We are harmless, can't you see?
Sometimes, we have a picnic at Midnight by the lake.

I have a lover who is a knight.
We may marry in a few years.
Hopefully, I can survive in the daylight.
I want to be a normal Princess and rule the land my past ancestors loved so dearly.
