How I Imagine It To Be
Taking no luggage, I float weightlessly to a place that will enfold and comfort my very soul. I do not need to go through a security check or take the shoes off my hooves because no one will hurt me here.

The book I read is the imagination that has carried me through life and made me a writer. Crisp and clear is the day with endless green expanses below me in the distance.

For years, I have wondered about this place, beyond my reach, high above my pasture. We all have to take this journey and for me, the time is now.

My hooves tremble as I climb the puffy white expanse to the destination where the cotton ball starts to enfold me completely. I do not know how many days I have traveled because time means nothing to me now. I only know I have to get there and meet my destiny.

The white cumulous entrance beckons and promises to take me back to the most wonderful days in my memory when I was but a wee calf. My long departed parents hold me in their hearts - I can feel them there beyond the clouds.

There is no life and no death anymore. I am pulled to be one with everything and understand everything as no mysteries remain.

There is only happiness and kindness and the joy in helping others.

Left behind is every trail of tears known to all creatures great and small. No more war or mankind preying on those less fortunate and hardy.

Everything that created me embraces me with love. I am a part of the clouds and the cool white breezes relax me and make it so easy to breathe. I breathe in and breathe out, smelling the flower and blowing out the imaginary candle.

I have come home.

Note: I wrote this for a nice contest. I was getting ready for a couple of long flights when I wrote it and I had a bad premonition that I wanted to work out and writing this helped calm me for my flights and everything went okay thankfully. Love, Hooves
