Margaret Mallory

The connotation of certain words and scenes is interpreted differently by each individual. Thinking of the fictitious character Margaret Mallory immediately forms an image in my mind of an old librarian.

She must be about 80 years old. After having worked at the neighborhood public library for over 50 years, it has become her life.

Margaret shows up for work every day looking the same. Her curly grey hair is done up in a bun, some stray hairs falling out of the barrette. On days when she feels particularly good, she might put in a matching ornament to help dress up her look a bit.
