Silently the memories fade
Into the darkened night
You thought that you had it made
And quickly you took flight

I tried to stop you
Tried to make you stay
But I couldn't get through
That neverending blaze

You saw me there crying

Working to make you stay

One more night of lonliness
Haunts me once again
