Love, imaginary to believing it.
Close your eyes, pretend you can feel the comfort of my hand against your skin. Pretend you can taste the closeness of my lips against yours. Pretend that as we pull away, you gently bring me back to where our lips would have first met. And neither one of us feels the temptation to draw back. Pretend that our arms move in a rhythmic passion over each other's bare skin. Pretend that although this may not be real it still feels like it would be surreal. And as I slowly disappear, you find yourself content saying everything will be fine. There's no more need to pretend, and as you open your eyes, you see my body cold and not breathing. Tears start to fall from your cheeks, but as I lay there helpless in your warm, comforting arms you realize this is not the end, but the beginning, no more pretending.
