The Journey

the journey

he travels not as his fathers or forefathers
not on land
not on water
not thru air

he travels with his mind
to many places
places his fathers couldn't have

as he travels place to place
he meets people
he is always who he is
no matter where
or who he meets

he enters rooms greeting people
he sits and talks and yet doesn't
he touches and yet doesn't

not with hand
not with eyes
not as his fathers did


yet he touches a part of those he meets
he sees and yet don't
he hears and yet don't
he feels and yet he don't

he can touch in a way
he can hear in a sense
he feels in a sense

what he does takes him
takes him where he wishes to go
takes him all over the world

this journey he takes
gives him the chance
makes friends
teaches him


what it teaches is

that every where people are the same
and different but still human

friends he makes
loves he meets
life's he touches

his life is touched
he is loved
he is touched

what is learned
the roads un-traveled
can lead to much joy or pain
but to live it to journey
as the journey is life.
