Six Little Doves

Round and round they go

Six white doves circling the buildings

I observe quietly and ecstatically from my rooftop

With a flight span of 2,500 feet, in perfect ovals

Like six little best friends laughing and screaming around the merry go round, playing in the sunset

I am going to catch up with you. No way! Not if I fly in front of you and hide first

Six becomes five becomes four becomes six behind the buildings, in front of me, behind the buildings again

Round and round they go, disappearing and reappearing, in all of their quiet hullabaloo

Not a care in the world

Until they tire out and perch themselves on a building window
