His Equal

He doesn't act like he can dance
Until he sees someone he wants to dance with
Not someone he wants to fall in love with
He wants to see if she'll be able to move in time
To hear the rhyme
He wants to see if she'll be able to attract him
To distract him

He doesn't act like he knows what's happening
Until she's able to see it on her own
He's not interested if she can't dance without him
He wants her to be able to survive
To stay alive
He wants her to be able to win every time
To exhibit the divine

He doesn't act like he knows her worth
Until someone else sees what she can do
Not that he trained her to be his equal
He wants her to be able to win him
To pin him
He wants her to choose him as her master
And the best dancer
