Jeffrey and Me

I met him on a school bus traveling the rural country route in 1989
I was his first love and he became mine.
We shared a green vinyl seat on an old yellow bus
It was this journey that was the beginning of us.
Over the years our journey grew
And in time we became two.
Through puppy love and kisses of many
We got married at the age of twenty.
In a country church pregnant with our first son
Before our family and God we became one.
Over the years our love grew strong
And to no other man would my heart belong.
