A quest through life
The wind whispers my name, summoning me to follow the desires of my heart
I heed that call, trying to find the hidden truth and the purpose of my life
But the answers aren’t easily obtained, perhaps only an illusion created in my mind
Still I cannot stop

I search my heart, hoping to find what I seek
Finally I think I have, but then something unforeseen happens to instill those doubts once again
Still I continue to go onward

I breathe a silent prayer, praying that the urgings felt within are real, are right
There is no guiding light to assure me that I am not wrong
But still I carry on

Something inward beckons me to proceed, and again, the wind whispers my name
It tells me that questioning myself is but a beginning and that my search has not yet been won
That is what’s whispered in the wind
I am confused by it all, and wonder what is wanted from me
Yet still I carry on

I drink greedily from the pages of an opened book
I become obsessed with the need to know more
I am mesmerized by the possibilities, thinking that, with this newfound knowledge I’ve grown
Still I march onward

Now aware that my search will never cease, I silently pray that my feet will walk the right path
Even more confused than before am I
Following the message that my heart sends seems difficult,
but still I carry on
