A short poem about a demure housewife. With a twist!
Obediently smiling
Beneath she's seething
Always seeming
So soft and demure

These thoughts are racing
She's endlessly pacing
But he's not caring
She's not home

Her heart is breaking
Hands are shaking
But her face denies
All that simmers inside

Terror
Turmoil
Hopelessness
Strain
Her face masks it all
So sweet and plain

What do you think they'll say
When she finally implodes?

Obedient
Subservient
Charming
Kind

Very lovingly
She takes a knife

Daintily
Delicately
Softly
Sweetly

She ends her pain
She takes his life
