Pangs felt for those suffering from a love gone sour
Enveloped in darkness is how you left me
Shrouded in blackness, alone and empty
Broken and bleeding, and hurting like hell
With only a heartbreaking story to tell

When you left me a part of me died
I never revealed what was felt inside
Broken and bleeding in a river of tears
The minutes turned into days, the months into years

No mountain of love wasd left for me to ascend
I’d always thought you’d be mine until the end
Broken and bleeding was how you left me that day
In loving you an extravagant price I did pay

To hell with love was what I said then
For I knew I was trapped in a game I couldn’t possibly win
Broken and bleeding, loving you was a mistake
I gave you my all, now misery’s my fate

You taught me that life isn’t filled with sunshine and flowers
Many a night I sat waiting for you to come home for hours
Broken and bleeding, no ray of light do I see
I’ve never been lonelier than since you left me

Don’t expect me to be here if you decide to come back
Or expect me to accept any more of your verbal attacks
Broken and bleeding, left only with pain
I refuse to subject myself to such a loss again

Cry me a river like I once did for you
When I discovered all we shared wasn’t true
Broken and bleeding is all I seem to know
Cast aside like I was nothing more than your whore

Let me spell it out for you if I haven’t made my point clear
For you I won’t shed another tear
Broken and bleeding in my own darkened world
Into a blackness which cannot be escaped was I hurled

Goodbye to love, and so long to you
One day I’ll shake the feelings so blue
Broken and bleeding, you’ve taught me to hate
To believe I have nothing, that heartache’s my fate
