Carry the Flame

I know the lord has led me here
And he may lead me away
But I know that I can trust the lord
To never lead me astray

There is a path I walk for him
Day by passing day
There is a step I step for him
Each minute of the way

My heart does beat its rhythm
Softly in his name
It keeps my body going strong
As I pass along his flame

For His is an eternal fire
That will always be ablaze
And I will carry it as long
As I’m walking in his name
