This poem is based off of Romeo and Juliet, more modernized of course, |
Romeo & Juliet A tear crawls down her cheek She wipes it away Trying to hide her emotions From anyone who comes along Bottling everything inside Locking everyone out Even herself She has no one to hold No one to hold her Before she had one person To help her through anything And everything Now that person is gone Without so much as a goodbye letter Or apology He left her with nothing She loved him with all her heart Told him everything she had to tell There was nothing that could seperate them Except for one thing When he looked at her She went weak at the knees And she couldnt help but smile at him When he touched her She felt her heart melt inside of her Her hand would reach for his When he told her about his day She would intently listen Trying to consentrate on the conversation, and not his face She awoke to her phone ringing She thought it was him Quickly she grabbed it Excitedly pressing the "talk" button A few moments later The phone she thought she wouldnt want to put down Fell from her hands She did not move Her mouth wide open The service was unbearable She couldn't take it She ran until forever it seemed And didn't stop until she made it safely home She turned on the CD with their song on it She took off her hideous black dress and put on his jersey Laying on the bed she wondered why Why would he do this? How could he do this? He left her alone in the world Now she has no one She cannot bear it So she takes her life as well A 21st Century Romeo & Juliet. ~Jocelyn |
