Another poem about my father. I can't seem to come up with a title for this one.
It's been seven years now
Since you went away
They said it would take time
Still we think of you everyday
Some days we miss you so much
All we can do is cry
We get angry at the world
We still ask God "Why?"
We'll never know the reason
Our life was like it was
The accident, the sickness
Why did He take you from us?
Was this our punishment
For all the wrong we'd done?
Or did He simply decide
You'd finished your life's run?
Even if we had the answers
We'd never understand
All we know is you're in Heaven
Waiting for us in the Promise Land
Someday we'll be together again
When we finally meet you there
'Til then we'll keep your love alive
With the memories we share

In Memory Of...
