the wind

THE WIND

The wind it spoke to me today

it asked me to come out and play

it told of places it has been

it said im looking for a friend

it told me of the dessert lands

and how it played there in the sand

it told me of the loney woods

and how the mighty oaks there stood

it told of places no man goes

how it whipped and whirled there in the snow

then it asked if i would like to see

the places that it could take me

but when i said id rather stay

the wind it went and blew away!
