Centuries past
Fathomless beats
Of countless hearts
Gallons upon gallons
Of red blood shed
For life
And for death
But allied
In purpose:
A name.
Not sacrificed
Fought for
And won
Carried proudly
Protected
Undeniably
Given, gifted
Blood of honor
Glory, pain
Inlaid
In the veins
Of those
With such a name
