This just randomly popped in my head today while walking in the rain.
The rain tastes dirty this night
Its tainted with the taste of evolution, pollution
all the problems of our generation
I miss the days when it tasted clean
back when the biggest conflict of life
was whether or not your ass looks fat in those jeans
but now
unexpected interruptions to the lazy days of summer have arrived
now peer pressure seems to have taken hold
and chokes me, has me by my throat in its steely grasp
i feel as though my soul has been ripped apart
and the monster called Society
has it in its iron jaws, eating what is no longer a part of me
i am now souless
and i sail through life, transparent
just another mindless drone floating along
and the rain goes on tasting like acid
