I ponder the flower
Lilyesque, it gapes
Fronds point to the entrance
to its ichthysian
Nectar
Pungent, it repels would-be lovers
of its moist inner zone
A zone of love.
It is safe thus
But knows not the touch of others
Nor the sweet-scented nectars disembogued by other blossoms.
