I was in a spout of depression and pondering over some of the main themes in life.
What am I in this sea of eroded gravel and coble stone?
I am but a speck of dust.
What am I compared to these looming stones,
Standing ever defiant to Lunar’s pull?
I am but a passing grain.

Tossed in the turbulent flow of the sea;
Compiled in its sediment; forgotten?
Aye, that is me.
Ended before beginning? Most assured.

Open a book, read its mystery;
Be changed forever.
What you don’t know won’t kill you.
Reach to the stars!

Knowledge is sin, sin is death—cliché?
Death inevitable, life ensured,
Should there be merriment or struggle?

What am I to all of these?
I am but the ashes of Babylon;
The dust of Eve’s perdition.
