Darkness

My Darkness

I sleep away the day,
but not at night. That is my way.
I love the darkness so,
because it is as black as a crow,
or a raven I might add,
my favorite bird of all.
My haven is the nightfall
especially on rainy days.
Now you can plainly see
how un ordinary I may be,
in my own way.
Most people like the days but,
I like the nights of all things.
So bye bye, becareful.
I stalk in the night to give all a fright!
