This is just a 'lil poem about missing somebody.
I walk towards the sunset,
today, without your shining face.
Marching through the weeds
that ocean and sand embrace.

As each wave crashes toward me,
a new memory attacks me somehow.
Each day I grow more distraught;
only here do I feel you now.

As I trudge along, I see you walking;
I uncover your footprints in the sand.
I follow the path beside your prints
as if I were there to hold your hand.

The path so suddenly ends;
It disappears without a trace.
A cold wind sweeps my cheeks
and chills the tears that slowly invade my face.

As my toes skim the cold black ocean,
my eyes disappear over the vacant tan.
I look back to see if you follow me,
but you can't return, even if you think you can.

I hesitate where your prints end,
but I realize it can't hold me back, "be strong for me."
I slowly keep strolling along the lonely beach
as the waves and wind scream, "Remember Me."
