This is a poem I wrote about the fading memory of my mother who died when I was 13.
Day after day it crams more memories in,
An eraser, It's undefeated, my mind the paper,
I'm losing grip, your face is fading into darkness,
I fight this endless battle with my relentless rival,
Until the day I die I'll fight for you, your memory,
With you by my side it would never win, I'm alone,
Your gone so it will one day win, but not yet, I'm still here,
Time won't take you yet, not till I have used you up,
It pulls more and more as I age, I hardly remember your face,
Your smell is drifting from me, time is winning, nothing can help me
A picture now, is all I have to keep time at bay,
And it will carry you on forever in the future of the world
