Unrequited love, reminsicing, memories, Love
I remember your blue eyes
Smiling,
Laughing
Dancing
With mine
Seventeen years old, you 18, what did we know
Our minds had not fully developed
Our bodies had not fully grown
But our hearts needed nothing more
To recognize the love
So unique
So special
Unlike any other
Always my friend, never my lover
Year after year
You stayed here
Though you were gone, no where in sight
My heart put up a tough fight
To keep you inside
And the memories we made,
Stay fresh in my mind.
Walking in the park
Laughing in the dark
Touching,
Kissing
Loving
Being.
I think of you now, your eyes so blue
I think the first time you smiled, thats when I knew
There was something extraordinary, deep inside of you.
You healed my heart
That held much pain
You were my friend in sunshine or rain
You let me feel like I was worth the time
Of someone so beautiful
You let me shine
As I think of you now
Do you remember me too?
Or am I just a memory,
Faded, untrue.
12 long years, to the day, it has been
Since we met that day, January 3, in Walla Walla, Washington
My life went on, my heart did not
It keeps you here and in my thoughts
It will not let you go
Will not let me be
I Love You though
You should know how much you mean to me
To show you would be even better
To give you this love thats been yours for so long
It could never be wrong.
Until the day we meet again
---The day my heart believes in
I'll keep you here
Close and dear
Seeing your blue eyes
When I close mine
I will meet you in a dream
Until that dream becomes
Reality
