I was standing on a cliff overlooking forever,
Watching my boats sail off into the horizon.
One by one they disappeared,
Leaving me alone to watch the sun set and
Marvel at the sky newly cloaked in black with her diamond-studded shawl.
It was then I knew I was alone; alone with forever.
There would be no one to catch me when I fell,
Only a chill wind to stir my hair.
No witness to my tears, but that was alright.
Perhaps I am stronger than I supposed.
I can cling to the horizon; sail over the sea, and into the wind.
Unbound from my cares, unchained by remorse.
All these things I did wrong.
Perhaps one day I will turn this into a poem, and laugh.
