Just a dream

I moved on with my life
But I never could let you go
I moved on with my heart
But it never moved on from you

I told my friends you were history
But they didn’t believe me
I told them all that I didn’t care
But they knew that I cried every night

I tried not to, but the tears came all the more
They had their own schedule for me
I don’t want to feel alone anymore
I want this feeling to be away from me

I want to feel your heart next to mine
I want to wake up with you
I want to be with you
I want my time spent with you

I know that I can’t have what I want
But I can dream can’t I?
I know that you will find someone better than me
But I can wish can’t I?

I had a dream
That I was with you
And we were happy
I was happy again
But it was just a dream
See? There it goes,
