This poem expresses the way i talk, walk, and feel in the eyes of myself and others.
What is my walk?
My walk, does it really represent my talk?
What is my walk?
Is it just my make up mask?
Covering all the hideous, behind the scenes tasks?
Is it my affectionate attitude addressed in all types of situations?
Or is it my spurious walk, always open to devious temptations?
Am I really able to refuse the pressures constantly put on me by my peers?
No, maybe not; they act just like my overseers.
What is my walk?
Am I moving closer to the Omega?
Or am I moving farther away from the Jehovah?
Am I in line and in sync with His word?
Do I give love to those that need it?
Or am I just seen and not heard?
Living in these perilous times, makes life so much harder,
But I know I can get through it, because God is my provider.
The Lord compares me with no other man on this earth,
You see, we were all created equal, even from the start of birth.
So readers, what is my walk?
My walk is true, honest, lovely and fair,
I dare not degrade others because I want to show them, that I care.
My walk is pure, uplifting and truthful,
My walk is not mischief, sorrow, vanity and doubtful.
I keep my head up, knowing that I have something to look forward to;
A brighter day is ahead, and God is there, just waiting for you.
Where am I in my walk?
Unfortunately, I was not as close to God as I thought,
I thought I was the big man on campus, I thought I was on top,
But I came to realize that my talk was not lined up with my walk,
I had a fictitious walk, and an imitation talk.
Now, dear readers, all of that has changed.
God showed me all of my imperfections,
My talk is now honest and straight forward,
And my walk now is going in the right direction.
