The Rain

The Rain

the clouds open up
and the heavens come down
the angels are crying
without making a sound

bringing life to us all
so we can live on
but the rain stays forever
long after we're gone

still the rain falls to the ground
making the song that nature sings
but the reason for the coming rain
is that an angel gets their wings

so as long as it rains
we know that deceased will never die
their spirits continue to live on
as long as the angels still cry
