He loves her,
She wants another.
It won’t work when one
Doesn’t love the other.

Stuck in a rut,
He shuts himself in
And waits up all night
For the day to begin.

She made herself heal,
That’s what she said,
But he dreams of her-
She won’t leave his head.

Time, he says,
Is the only thing
That will make him forget
She’ll never wear his ring.

So now they sit,
Miles apart.
One’s moving on,
The other has a broken heart.
