Thanks for all the helpful tips, they seem to check out though I found the oversell one funny personally, its rather hard to judge of a person how to under-sell, oversell and where the middle is for them. At-least when it comes to my own judging of people, have to be considerate on that part.
Possibly the work of certain killers who like to pretend or hide behind a need to murder while directed by voices. Such as the infamous BTK serial killer, etc. His mask seems to be his voice in his head or free personality we all adopt and use in our own ways. Lovely piece and to the point though perhaps lead the reader around a bit before concluding so suddenly?
Isn't that just a prime example of human error and arrogance. Though we all make mistakes, following simple rules set by other people whom made the same mistakes would have prevented this "Hunting gone bad" scenario, but a good portion of us are lazy and that can lead to well, shooting your best dog. Literally or figuratively.
