I loved this. So well written and so amusing. You need to write a whole series about Momma. It sounds like you probably have enough material and this is a delightfull story. I can see a whole book of tales of Mamma.
Great job!

Bravo!

It's always great to her someone speak the simple truth. If our elected officials just used a little common since, things could be so much different. They think it makes sense to spend millions trying to save dollars. Pennies are no longer needed in this world, but we are still spending millions to make more, even though it cost so much more to make them than they are worth. Same with nickles and dimes, and we don't need them anymore.

I don't have time to get on my soapbox, I would be here all day. Our prison system, a complete farce. A woman spends life in prison for killing the man who abused her and her children for years and a man rarely ever serves two years and is out to do it again, while a man like Madoff sits in his $7 million dollar Penthouse long enough to hide all his stolen wealth before going to jail.

Enough, well said.

Very interesting. I read it all. I don't know much about the Asian culture but you give your reader a very good idea of what it must be like. I've alway admired the Asian because of their dedication to their careers, but I guess I just didn't realize it was strickly because of the money. I reallly enjoyed your narrative.

Great poem,I've heard a lot of folklore but the persimmon seed forecast is entirely new to me. Loved it! I just joined last night but I definetly will be watching for more of your poems. It makes me want to go out and find a persimmon tree. Keep writing!
