While I enjoy this chapter, the spacing of it put me off a bit. Every paragraph seems clumped together. (Spacing after each paragraph would fix that.) The character seems relatable, and the first person narrative feels real and authentic. However, I find the chapter rushed. How did Kylie get from refusing to pack and dreading the way there to actually unpacking and decorating her room? It seems something is missing. For the most part though, you explained the reason for the move quite well.
I find the conclusion of the chapter suspenseful, which may hook some readers. Good luck on following chapters.
Bravo! "Being Different" is indeed very different and straight-forward. It's about being different that makes this poem, about defying our society. Being the same as everyone and anyone else is not ridiculous. And it's not normal. Your poem tackles this head on. I enjoyed it. People can relate to it.
