Just sweet, very sweet. From an open and loving perspective of a child this is such a gift to someone who's mourning. I don't think there is a Mum out there though who could do less than watch over those she loves. I think a little more interplay with his father might have been nice, but the story does the trick, very well done.
Each chapter is a treat unto itself. There is nothing like what you have written. I love the interaction between your characters, the way you move scene to scene smoothly. You get different insights for each character. The same world but different. Cinderella? I would say so! With a very nice twist. Looking forward to chapter 7!
What can I say...I've had dreams like that. Luckily it wasn't my day to face my demons. There are different ways you can take your writing. Did your main character, kill his family? Was it by his own hand, was the demon only a hallucination to keep from having to deal with his inner monster? Very well, written viseral (sp?) Wonderful.
I love your take on vampires and werewolves. Having the infection have nothing to do with souls (vamps) and then having the werewolves evolve to wolfweres. Wonderful twist. I am a vamp/werewolf fan. I love most things written about them your work was no different. I really enjoy the way your characters and the world work around them. The plot kept me enthralled to the end which is a feat since it was competing with an energitic four year old.
What I liked the most was the way you split everything into excerpts from this one and that one. The only thing that I would change would be to tighten up the spacing between excerpts. The thing I liked the least...it ended way too soon!
I would love to see this filled out as a book.
Ok, I am that reader. It's impossible to seperate me from books. I read everything, and this site has been a GIFT!
I like your descriptions, you can see the rooms, the chair she's in the blanket! You know the feelings that she's feeling, especially being intrupted once the spell of the book has you in thrall.
Wonderful!
Ok, eeewww! Seriously it was another good one. You should do a book of these short stories. You've taken a typical fear (that of a "possesed" child) and played it perfectly.
Wonderful!
At the begining of every relationship there's a rush of emotion, and feeling. Sometimes it dies quietly, and unnoticed as the person typing the words becomes bored. Inspired!
Beautiful, and sad, since it reflects the feelings of the day. Depending on where you go of course, there are so many differences for people to focus on. So many little things to hold against people and make hate so easy. I think you should have an Avenger for the Guardian & Defender mainly because I feel vindictive toward the Princess. (hmm...don't like her much, no I don't) Good read, very well written.
On par with the old horror writers, H.P. Lovecraft immediatly comes to mind! It was creepy, detailed and specific, while at the same time leaving just enough to the imagination so I could scare myself.
Wonderful, inspired! I truly enjoy these kinds of writings. Thank you
