This beautiful poem transmits a sense of agony, pain, and suffering into the reader. The expressive words
"There are dark clouds all around me
I know it's going to rain
No tree to shelter from the cold
Nothing to stop the pain." Send a shiver down my spine. While this is true literally speaking, poetically speaking, it's all the more unerring! Life can be cruel, cold, and careless, like fully comparable to stinging rain. You have done a pulchritudinous job. Well done.
This is a lovely, descriptive poem that rightly suits the season. The way you present the "silvery facets on the beechwood leaves" reflecting the "pearly dawn sun" gives me such an admiration for the world around me. Adding the word "Grandmother" gives off a cozy, warm sort of feel that reminds me, conveniently, of autumn. It also reminds me of a sheltered cottage or cabin on a rainy day, with me safe underneath, just looking at the sparkling blanket of stars above me. A very well written poem that truly makes my mind think. Thank you and write on!
