Awww, such an awesome poem! They are indeed the perfect treat and also a good way to keep children quiet during church lol. At least that was one of the tricks my grandmother used when me and my siblings were little. It's one of my husbands favorite treats as well, not too sugary but just perfect.

I loved this!! Has it ever been performed on stage? It's so well written! I love the thoughts and emotions of the tree, and how it talks about his mother. It is sad though too that the tree is lonely and also sad that the son doesn't get how special the place is to his father, and to the tree. I really liked it...I think it would be an awesome stage play for a theatre class maybe.
