Everyone needs something to believe in. A dream is a great thing. I think people get caught up in having dreams and forget that they CAN make them come true. Realize a dream and replace it with a new dream. It can be an on-going process. No one should end up sad, old, and miserable; dieing knowing that they never realized one single dream because they were so wrapped up in having the dream that they didn't realize they could make it come true and reach out for another.
I enjoyed this very much. I like pieces that make you think what if? Because more often than not, the what if's are more real than "reality" as we see it.
I'll be honest, I only read half of it. I'm bookmarking it and I intend to finish it. I am just late for work. I really like what I have read so far. I hope more follows.
I like this, really. It's true. I've noticed that poems will win that absolutely make no sense and the ones that have a concrete thought and make u think don't get as much recognition. I think that's why I stopped writing poetry. The abstract is easy. Abstract with a thought, now that's the challenge. ANd the judges just don't seem to award for giving the readers a thought. I guess they want the reader to conjure their own thought. I dunno. Anyways. Two pens up!
