Your 'article' on the Buxton Olympics makes use of cats' quirky and often anthropomorphic behaviour to produce a very funny read.
Watching animals engage in 'play' that hones their survival skills shows us that sports and games began long before humans and civilisation came along.
Three cheers (and five stars) for the Buxton Olympics.
Great rant against the state of American politics and the continued incompetence of the Bush administration. Good to see someone put his feelings on the issue into poetry. Conveys what needs to be said without too much rhetoric.
As for the poem itself, the long lines looked appropriate and the rhyme scheme was really spot on! Nice job.
HAHA!!! Bravo! That's the piece thing I've read since 'How to make Rattlesnake Soup'. The theme was so weird, that it was funny without trying to be, your story and prose made it all the better.
Lots of hilarious lines, this one would top them all: "Ever wonder why dragons don't burn themselves with their own fiery breath?".
I loved the dragon combat sequence, and the way the barbaric 'hero' was dealt with.
Good suff, mate.
