I find your theory credible. One thing I've always thought about is equilibrium. Let's say that one person is a hero, then in theory, for every super hero there is a villian, or someone equally evil on the other end of the spectrum. So, in other words, if there is so many people in prison/jail, then there must be just as many people in the world saving it or doing good deeds.
