It's a good read. There's nothing wrong with reminiscing. Although I did notice a grammar mistake or two, "gonna to be," you may want to change that to "gonna be."

Cute poem. It makes me think of Alice in Wonderland and Willy Wonka. I get you love purple. Yet you are unable to endure blue. But without it you could not have the beautiful shade purple. lol You have nice flow with rhyming your words.

It's amazing how loyal children are to their parents. It kind of reminds me when a puppy gets beat over and over again. Yet, it still wants its masters love.
Yes, if the children didn't grow up to be like their father, they have a good chance of understanding what forgiveness truly means.
I can say for me. it took me a very long time to forgive my parents for the things that happened in my life. Forgiveness is truly a blessing once you understand what it can do for your scars.

You mentioned it was bad and kind of weird. I've been there... (not liking my work) the more you write the more you'll start to like your work. I think the most important thing you could do for yourself is to fix what you don't like about it. So, you can prepare yourself for constructive criticism.
