I declined your request for a paid review after I read your essay. Why did I do that? Because after I read it, I realized this essay is a gift for me. In the past two weeks, I've developed a somewhat intensive interest in Haiku and all relating derivatives. They are, certainty, a challenge for me to complete these tiny poems with images that provoke thought. And I'm loving it. However, I know so little about the real knowledge behind these forms and I want to know more. Your essay impressed me with your knowledge. Your writing was clear and to the point. There was something in each paragraph that was informative and made me realize there's more to Haikus then just words that fit the criteria. I hope you don't mind if I print it so I can go deeper into Haiku. Thank you very much for posting it.
This poem is perfect. The construction and rhyming of your thoughts touched me. I can identify with each stanza of frustration.
I'm dealing with a grandson who won't make good choices and just sits, playing video games. Frustration is the right word as I struggle to know how to help.
And I've ended up doing your last line. T should have done it first.
Thank you for writing this, makes me feel I'm not the only one dealing with this.
