As I read this, I attempt to recall the last rainbow I saw. Also I remember what my mother told me as a child, "With every rainbow comes a promise." A promise from God not to ever take the world again by water. So everytime I see a rainbow, I see God. Thanks for a wonderfully written piece.
If I can manage to dry my tears long enough to write this I will. So very heart wrenching, I applaud in maintaining your sanity through all of your tradgedies. And scream "BRAVO" on a very well written and emotionally cleansing story.
This was a very good, although extremely frightening story. I think there should have been more about the "thing" and a little more description. Would have caused a lot more chills up and down the spine.
The reason this is a 4 instead of a 5 is the use of the "F" word, I just dont believe it is necessary.
I recently have had the experience of my mother passing away in July 03. She was so very precious to me, a exact example of compassion, and love. Your poem ends with a very telling prophecy. She will live on forever in your heart and mind. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful piece.
We must remember that not all people will believe as we do. What is right and justified for me, may not be for you. HONOR is a great thing, we must also remember to keep in our minds that it takes a lot of COURAGE to remain HONORABLE at many times in our life. I thank you for a very compeling piece of work. WRITE ON!!!!!
